When running the Kafka stage, users are seeing a large number of messages containing “WARN AppInfoParser - Error registering AppInfo mbean” in the Data Collector logs.
Answer:
This message in the logs is harmless and doesn’t not impact the pipeline behaviour.
This is an unfortunate behavior of Kafka. The consumer will always insist on using the JMX metrics reporter when starting a new consumer. It is safe to ignore because StreamSets is not exposing those metrics that Kafka itself generates and rather expose the pipeline metrics that are properly tied to the individual pipeline.
