StreamSets Summer ‘21 is the next evolution of our StreamSets DataOps Platform, which is a modern data integration platform empowering data engineers to build smart data pipelines. We have evolved the platform from an installed software-led experience to a true SaaS (software-as-a-service) experience, optimized for cloud environments, while building on our strengths in hybrid deployments. The StreamSets DataOps Platform incorporates Control Hub, Data Collector and Transformer, which are no longer stand-alone products. Summer ‘21 is the July 2021 release of the StreamSets DataOps Platform.

@Dash  - Does this mean that the Data collectors run on the infrastructure maintained by StreamSets or will it continue to run on the customer premises with only the control plane running / governed by StreamSets. 

Data engines like StreamSets Data Collector and Transformer are deployed directly in your data environment in either a cloud deployment or as a tarball/rpm to be installed. The control plane of the product is hosted and will help you deploy and manage the engines via the web SaaS portal.
