StreamSets Support Team would like to inform you that we discovered an issue where StreamSets Data Collector pipelines with the Kafka Multitopic Consumer origin will fail to execute properly if the Kafka topic name contains a hyphen.

Description: Pipelines that utilize our Kafka Multitopic Consumer origin will fail with a java.lang.NumberFormatException if the name of the Kafka topic being read from contains a hyphen.
This is an issue introduced in StreamSets Data Collector 3.16.1 and is resolved in StreamSets Data Collector 3.17.0, which was released on July 28, 2020.
In addition, the StreamSets team is currently preparing StreamSets Data Collector 3.16.2 with the fix, which will be available within the next week.
