"ERROR: System ID already exists" while generating the System-ID for SCH/DPM

Question:

Getting below error while re-generating the System-ID for SCH/DPM

Answer:

 

The above error comes when we are trying to re-generate the System ID or the ID already exists in the SCH Database when we imported the database from another server.

So in this case we need to follow the below steps to resolve this issue

  •  Take the security database backup
  • Connect to the security database
  •  Run the below queries (In security database)

 

and then re-run the below command to create the new system ID
