StreamSets Summer ‘21 is the StreamSets DataOps Platform delivered as  software-as-a-service. The Control Hub component is delivered as SaaS, and allows data engineers to design, operate and monitor their data pipelines that are executed by the engines, Data Collector and Transformer. It provides a common UI for:

• Platform administrators to setup engines that run data pipelines (Data Collector & Transformer) that are automatically tethered to the Control Hub

• Data engineers to build, run and monitor smart data pipelines on those “tethered” engines, no matter where they are deployed-- on-premises and/or in multiple cloud environments

• Platform administrators to manage users, roles and organization

The StreamSets Summer ‘21 service includes the ability to easily install or cloud-deploy the user-managed Data Collector and Transformer engines which actually run the data pipelines. The combination of the StreamSets Control Hub service and the engines constitutes the overall StreamSets DataOps platform.
